Long-term renovation solution
Cracks in the concrete tank at Dalby-Rode Waterworks led to challenges until Dansk Plast developed a renovation solution based on the waterworks' information and desire for a more long-term solution.

After the board's approval of the budget price, the planning of the project began. The first step involved a thorough inspection of the concrete tank. Our project manager and installer visited Dalby-Rode to carefully examine the tank, take precise measurements, check access routes, and prepare a detailed installation plan.
As a new service, we now also offer 3D scanning of the tank, both before and after installation. This provides us with an accurate picture of the task before we start. We place great emphasis on these inspections, as they allow for precise pricing, adjustment of expectations, and create the optimal foundation for a successful installation. After the installation, we ensure that our solution meets the expectations we have created in collaboration with the customer. At Dansk Plast, we see this as crucial for ensuring a smooth and successful execution of our projects.
Cost-effective upgrade
By choosing our plastic solution for renovation, the waterworks can not only minimize investment costs but also ensure an extended lifespan for the tank, with water quality being one less concern.
We line the existing tank with solid plastic plates ranging from 4 to 20 mm. This effectively creates a new tank inside the old one, preventing contaminated surface water and groundwater from penetrating and thus maintaining water quality in the long term.
The plastic plates are installed, welded, and thoroughly inspected with a spark test to ensure they are leak-proof. This efficient process ensures that installation costs and downtime are minimal compared to alternative solutions, providing the waterworks with a fast and cost-effective upgrade.
Successful Implementation
Our experienced installers worked for 2.5 weeks on the renovation, after which the drinking water tank was ready to be filled and put into use. The efficient effort ensured a quick and successful implementation of the upgraded solution at Dalby-Rode Waterworks.
